Jaco, on the Pacific Coast.
Road Conditions
The roads leading to and from Puriscal are in
excellent condition.
In either direction the journey will be pleasant
and safe.
Plan for afternoon rain from May through November.

This same Highway is one of the most Scenic routes
to and from the Pacific Coast.
See the Central Valley along most of the
trajectory, and the Golfo Nicoya straight ahead. |
Directions to
Puriscal
From San Jose head west on the
highway that passes through Escazu & then Santa Ana. Continue west
on this road passing through Ciudad Colon and then up and over the mountain
to finally arrive in Santiago de Puriscal.
You will know that you have arrived
by the large Gas Station ( ARAYA ) on the right. At the
Intersection ahead you will notice that the road splits, and in the V is the
Fire Station. Take the right fork and watch for the PALI supermarket
and turn left on the next street... go half way up the block. You'll see our
office on the left hand side, right across the street from the main entrance
to the Municipal Headquarters.

Where to Stay The
best bet for Lodging when you visit Puriscal is the Pasada
Canal Grande Hotel, in Piedades Santa Ana. About half way between
Puriscal and San Jose, it is only 30 minutes away, with the comforts you
would expect and service that visitors commend.
