NEW HOSPITAL FOR PURISCAL

The location of the planned CCSS hospital has been chosen and construction is due to begin in January 2007. This full service hospital will provide an essential  service for a rapidly growing region of the Central Pacific. 

The present hospital/clinic is very well 
staffed and still serves the community with quality health care, but with rising 
population and the need for more specialists to become part of the team, this new modern hospital is welcomed by all.

At this time the major hospital in Costa 
Rica (or Central America for that matter) is "CIMA" and it is just 35 minutes from here in Santiago. Being part of the Baylor 
Medical Center in Texas, the highest quality care can be expected at a fraction of the equivalent cost in the states.

* I have used their services as have clients of ours... all were VERY impressed.

Our community also has several fine doctors to heal those everyday ailments. These are priced very reasonably, as is the fine dental care offered here.

FINALLY   New highway to be finished !!!

The new highway from Ciudad Colon to Orotina is finally going to become a reality. Last week the final document was signed between government and the construction firms that will build and manage the highway for the next 20 years...

The towns in the far west of the Central valley will be most benefited.  Driving times from our "Bellaverde del Pacifico" project in San Pablo de Turrubares to San Jose or the beaches will be cut in half !  Now it will be possible to live in paradise & work in or visit the capital daily.

Being a toll road it is expected to be of very high quality and kept in top condition too. All of us here in this area have waited nearly 15 years for this highway to be finished, and we are very pleased to see it become a reality.

I.C.E (Instituto Nacional de Electricidad) which is our provider of electricity & telecommunications (through RACSA) has just announced a large reduction of fees for "advanced" internet service.

This meeting took place in conjunction with the Festivities  surrounding the Inauguration of the New Water System.
