About Turrubares

Turrubares is Puriscal's neighbor to the
west. It's a long and narrow strip of land running north to south between Puriscal and Puntarenas which measures 367.5 square miles in total land area.
Turrubares is part of the country's main province (San Jose) and was
founded in 1920.
Due to it's great diversity in topography, Turrubares has many distinct micro-climates and therefore some of the most ecological areas in Costa Rica.
The Famous Carara bio-reserve (now a National Park) as well as the other pristine forest reserves in Lanas, Cero Potenciana, and the beautiful area around the newest and largest ecological park in Central America (TURRU-BARI).
All the adventure one can take and lots of eco-education too.
Other attractions of the Turrubares area are Retirement and Investment.
Turrubares is halfway between the capital and the popular Central Pacific beaches and very close to the new toll
highway being built through the valley. Turrubares' stretigic location
and it "undeveloped" nature, has awakened interest in investors/developers who want to get in early.
As for a retirement destination, it's fame is legendary.
